Hi all,
Hope this journal finds you all well.
Been an alright week thus far; the inspiration that has so eluded me as of late is beginning to return. I've been out and about grabbing holga shots, and I've also picked up my digital camera. As a matter of fact, after a remark my Dad made yesterday about a visual phenomenon that he observed, I've actually come up with an idea that I think I might be able to turn into quite a large, ongoing project, if it works out. I won't see too much more at the moment as I'm about to start some test shooting to see if it works - all I need is for the sun to come out (been heavy, heavy rainfall here recently).
Been discovering some truly excellent music recently, and after about 4 months of waiting for my pre-ordered copy of Ulrich Schnauss' brand new album,
Goodbye to arrive, it finally dropped through the post yesterday - and it's been worth every single one of those agonising days of waiting.
I can say without ta shadow of doubt that this is one of the best albums that I've heard for a very, very long time. The chord changes are stunning in places, and the sense of uplifting, melancholic euphoria (I'm aware that might sound odd, but it's the only way I can't to describe it) is present and correct. When I put the first track on,
Never Be The Same I was smiling from ear to ear, and it's so good that it brought tears of happiness to my eyes (if you're an avid music fan, then perhaps you'll get what I mean......otherwise, I guess that might sound a little stupid

).
Anyways, hope you've enjoyed the thumbs. My usual method of searching the gallery using keywords doesn't seem to be working at the moment, and when I posted a thread in the forum asking if there's something wrong with the search function at the moment, I got less than helpful responses (though some were helpful, some of the people who seem to populate DA are a right bunch of self-righteous arseholes). So, I had to trawl though every category and picked what I liked, which I guess led to me featuring stuff that I might not necessarily have found by my usual means.
Stay healthy.
Peace, Love & Happiness,
Michael.
