Hello, everyone!
First off all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I hope 2008 is a good year for you and yours, and I wish you happiness, contentment and good health for the year ahead.
I brought in 2008 with the flu, though I did have a fun time with my brother.

This is really the first time that I've been on DA properly since just before Christmas. As a result, my message centre has been fairly building up, so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank those who added me to their

list recently: your interest in my work hasn't gone unappreciated, so I shall try and get around to thanking you all properly when time permits.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the poll that I ran just before Christmas in regards to what mp3 player I should buy. If you were kept feverishly awake during those cold winter days during the run up to the 25th, agonising over what I decided to go for, well, I'll put you out of your misery and tell you that I opted for the Sony NWZA818 (snappy title!

), completely ignoring all of the advice that was offered.
Nah, I was curious for peoples thoughts (and they were greatly appreciated), and in the end I think they helped steer me towards the Sony, which was always the forerunner in my mind. I'm really glad that I did go for it, as the sound is immense, the video crisp and clear, and the battery life lasts for ages. It's definitely got the best sound on market at the moment, in my own humble opinion.
I haven't set my New Year's resolutions in stone yet, but amongst them will be a resolve to shoot more people photography this year. I have hardly any of it in my gallery and I thoroughly enjoy doing it, so hopefully that'll be another photographic avenue that I go down and become (hopefully) successful at, so keep an eye out for that in the months to come.
My print store is going to be minus some pieces very soon. I've very kindly been invited by a fellow photographer who is setting up an online sales site to contribute work. The work is going to be for limited edition sets, so some of what I shall be selling appears in my store, so as a consequence it shall have to vanish from DA. I haven't decided yet what exactly will be coming down, but if you are 100% intent on purchasing any of my pieces from here, then do so before the end of this month, or you'll have to buy them elsewhere (where, if they sell well, will only be available for a short period of time).
Anyways, that's enough for the moment. I hope you all had a great time over the festive period, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's work in 2008.
Enjoy the thumbs.
Peace, Love & Happiness,
Michael.
EDIT:So I logged on to DA to find that I had a very pleasant surprise in the form of a Daily Deviation.
I'd like to take the time here to thank ^
equivoque for taking the time to feature 'Artist At Work 2'. Portraiture is something that I want to shoot more of this year (as mentioned above), so this is very encouraging indeed.
Thanks once again.

DEVIANTART! Nowhere will you find a more wretched hive of scum and villany...we must be cautious.
Maybe all men got one big soul that everyone's a part of. All faces are the same man....one big self.
We'll stay in the south, under the sun, close to the sea and not to far away from wild coasts, in a country of wine yards... pretty much like California. Now I think about it, I wonder if we should move!
