Hello everyone,
I hope you are all well.

Thanks to everyone who has given me a

or who has added me to their

recently - I'll get around to thanking you ASAP.

Been shooting with my Mamiya, and I'm hoping to have the films developed and ready for upload just after next weekend. I'm the better part through a B&W film, and about half way through a colour film. It's been a bit of an education and I'm hoping that the results have turned out alright. I'm using these films as test rolls more than anything else. Until I get an independent light-meter, I've been having to use my D70 to meter in the meantime; it's cumbersome, but it works for now.
Speaking of my D70, I'm having to put in an insurance claim for the 18-70mm lens that came with the camera. I was out shooting when a fierce (and unexpected) gust of wind caught my tripod off balance, sending the camera crashing to the (concrete) ground lens first. The front of the lens is bent and I've got a filter ring that is stuck on there, but the lens shattered in half, ripping away circuitry and damaging the lens beyond repair. I'm kind of bummed as it's the lens that I got with the camera and has been places with me/taken some of my favourite shots. I guess that's sentimentality speaking, but still.
If you don't have insurance, it's worthwhile getting some.

On an unrelated topic, I've
finally got around to listening to Radiohead's latest,
In Rainbows. I've had it since it was released, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and enjoy it properly, but now that I have....wow, what an album!
Anyhoo, that about wraps it up for now. Enjoy the thumbs.

Peace, Love & Happiness,
Michael.

Sorry about the lens... that is everybody's nightmare. Never thought about insurance really, guess I've been lucky so far.
