Hello everyone,

I hope this finds you all well.

Not a great deal to report on my end; studying and a desire to get out and shoot, if I could find the time.

A couple of journals ago I mentioned how I'm putting in an insurance claim for a damaged lens, and it's proving to be a bother. I received a letter from my insurance people telling me that despite having already sent them 2 letters telling them that the lens is damaged from camera retailers alongside photo evidence of the damaged lens, they now want a letter of confirmation from a repair shop saying it's beyond repair. It's beyond a joke, if you ask me. I don't know if they are intentionally making this difficult so that I'll give up but once I get this all sorted out, I'm seriously considering canceling my current policy and shopping around. The amount of time this has taken to get sorted out is unacceptable.

In other news, I put together a little slideshow of my land/sea/sky work and posted it on youtube. The quality is not the best and the compression seems to have made everything a bit contrasty resulting in shadow detail loss, but if that hasn't put you off, click the following link to view it. EDIT: I just bought Ulrich Schnauss' latest remix of Katharina Franck's song, 'Faithful Friend'. My god, this man's remixing continues to surpass itself! This is a lovely little blissed out number - it makes me want to stand on the top of a mountain overlooking a town by the sea as the sun sets and just ascend.
