Hello everyone,
Hope all is well with you.

Many thanks to all who've recently

'd or added me to your

- very much appreciated.

Been getting back into shooting a bit more recently which I've been enjoying. Went through something of a quiet spell for a little while and I feel the shutter bugs are biting a bit more once again. Hoping to finish of a roll that I have in my holga and get those developed very soon.
I think this is my first journal since the new V6 of DA came into operation, and I have to say that I lie it. Navigating the site has become much more streamlined, and I like the interface.
On a final note, drop what you're doing and make sure you get yourself along to your nearest cinema so that you can enjoy the awesomeness that is
The Dark Knight.
Batman Begins is one of my favourite films of all time and I was awaiting this film which much excitement. As with most films I'm really looking forward to, I make a point of avoiding all trailers so that the first viewing of the film is as fresh as possible, so this only heightened my anticipation. Christopher Nolan and co. have taken everything that was great about the first film and painted a much bigger, complex canvas. Jim Gordon talks at the end of the last film about escalation, and the canvas painted in
The Dark Knight feels bigger in every way. Unburdened by the shackles of establishing the Batman universe, Nolan is free to tell a story on a much grander scale, and it's one of the most satisfying, thrilling movie experiences I've had for a very long time. There are some wonderfully interesting ideas examined in the movie as well: the symbiotic, interdependent relationship between antagonist and protagonist; the role of a hero and what it means to be one, with the sacrifice that it entails; anarchy as a progressive tool (in the mind of the Joker, at least); the nature of terrorism; the rule of law etc.
Heath Ledger is an absolute revelation; his is a performance that gets under your skin and stays there. From the myriad of ticks to the mannerisms he adopts, he sets the screen alight every time he's on it, moving from the comically deranged to fully blown psycho at the drop of a hat.
I could harp on and on, but I won't.
The Dark Knight is not only the greatest comic book movie ever made, the content elevates it to the echelons of the greatest movies ever made. I love it that much.

Make sure you go and see it.
EDIT: So I logged in this evening and noticed that my message centre seems to have swollen; it would appear I have a DD.
Many thanks to ^
Staged for the feature, and thanks to all of you who've

'd or added me to your

. I'll get around to thanking you all in kind when the time permits.

Enjoy the thumbs.

Peace, Love & Happiness,
Michael.
