Thumbs & Happy New Year! + Days with My Father

Hi folks,

I hope you all had a great Christmas. I had a nice quiet get together with my family and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

2008, as with the last couple of years of my life, has been a strange one with a mixture of highs and lows. I'm hoping that the upcoming year is finally going to see things starting to turn around for the better. It hasn't all been bad, but it would be nice to have a spell of good luck as it's been a while.

I hope 2009 brings you health, happiness and good fortune in whatever you happen to do.

EDIT: I'd just like to share a photodocumentary with you that was brought to my attention on another photography site that I frequent. It's a beautiful body of work that charts one man, Phillip Toledano, and the journey taken with his father as he suffers from Alzheimers disease. The photography is superb, not mention the poignancy of the words that accompany the images.
